Aga Khan Palace
It is one of the finest piece of architectural beauty in the western India. Also there are lush green gardens around this palace. This place is of great significance importance as it was used as the place for prison for Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Kasturba and have memorial in the name of Gandhi’s wife. This palace also has some lavishly decorated guest rooms and suites.
Shivneri Fort
It is the birthplace of great Shivaji who is the famous ruler of Maharashtra. A large statue of Shivaji is inside the temple along with a temple of goddess ‘Shivai Devi’ . This fort is an ideal place for trekking. A water pond called 'Badami Talav’ is located in the middle of the fort. There is beautiful scenery which can be viewed from this fort and thus making it a famous visited tourist destination.
Shaniwar Wada
It is one of the most popular monument in Pune with great fountains, trees, courtyards, residential areas and office audience halls. Shaniwar Wada is a good illustration of efficient town planning maintained during the rule of Peshwas. Also there is light and sound show at this monument for tourists.
